Construction
The Edel SMS Pro Irons are a precision grain forged 1025 carbon steel players blade. The mild carbon steel used is the same steel as used by many of the iconic Mizuno forgings.
The Edel SMS Irons are a multi component players distance iron. The feature a forged steel hollow body construction with a plasma welded managing steel face cup. The proprietary urethane foam fill dampens vibration, provides better feel and sounds like a blade.
Looks
The Edel SMS Pro Irons feature a shorter blade length, less offset, thinner top line and more compact shape than the Edel SMS Irons. The differences are perceptible but minor and allow for a perfect combo-set build.
For example, the SMS Pro Iron top line is 6 mm. The SMS Iron is 6.5 mm. The SMS Pro offset ranges from 2.5 mm to 1.0 mm from 4-PW. The SMS offset ranges from 3.3 mm to 1.8 mm from 4-PW.
Unified Specs Across Irons and Wedges
The Edel SMS Pro Irons and SMS Irons share the Swing Match System (the moveable weight technology). The standard lofts, lie angles, lengths and swing weights (D2) are unified across the SMS range. This allows for a perfect combo set if desired through SMS Irons, SMS Pro Irons and SMS Wedges. Of course, there is nothing standard with Edel - everything is tailored to you.
Standard Options
Edel Golf offers no charge upgrades to any size of Golf Pride's Tour Velvet range. Choose between undersized, standard, midsized, and oversized with any amount of wraps as standard.
